Original Description

Test free, planispiral with slightly trochoid initial whorl, biumbilicate, semi-evolute, periphery nearly circular, weakly lobulate, loosely coiled containing approximately 2.5 whorls; chambers globular to subglobular; final whorl contains 7 or 8 chambers; sutures radial, distinct, depressed, slightly curved, wall calcareous, thin, finely perforate; surface finely hispid; aperture interiomarginal, equatorial, a low arch extending back along both umbilical margins to the septum; thin porticus borders entire aperture and partially covers shallow umbilici; umbilical portion of apertures of successive chambers remain open as relict apertures.
