Remarks. - Subbotina aegyptiaca El-Shinnawi is similar to Subbotina triloculinoides (Plummer) [Globigerina triloculinoides, 1926] in the essential generic characters. However, the four chambers of the last whorl and the hispid to papillated surface of the test are distinguishing characters of Subbotina aegyptiaca. The general aspect of the test of this new species shows a close similarity to that of Globotoralia obesa Bolli, 1957 (in Ellis and Messina, 1940 et seq., Catalogue of foraminifera, New York: Amer. Mus. Nat. Hist., Spec. Publ.). However the position of the aperture and its distinct lip as well as the papillate surface of the test are distinguishing characters of Subbotina aegyptiaca."
