Original Description

Variety differing from the tyical in that the last three chambers compose the whole external surface of  the test, the spire being enveloped.

Remarks: This is a peculiar modification which is thus placed, but which has a rougher, more punctate surface than typical C. nitida, and yet has a series of pores along the junctions of the chambers.
