Original Description

"Surface is postulate-covered, as in ancestral Tenuitellinata juvenilis (Bolli), usually not so high spired as C. praenitida, and surface not smooth." [this statement appears in a figure caption but was possibly intended as a description]

Extra details from original publication
The holotype was figured as a paratype of Candeina praenitida by Blow (1969)
