Original Description
Description.- A large test consisting of 2½-3 whorls with 10-12 chambers coiled in a low trochospire. In the last whorl are most frequently 3½-4 slowly enlarging chambers. Dorsal and ventral sutures are deep. The umbilicus is wide and deep; the aperture is large, semi-arcuate, umbilical, without any lip or rim. The wall is calcareous, perforate - as in Glogigerapsis index (Finlay) [Globigerinoides index, 1939].
