Original Description
Test free, calcareous, subglobose, trochoid, concavoconvex, periphery deeply lobulated, periphery broadly rounded; wall opaque to hyaline, coarsely, heavily pitted; initial chambers minute more globose than ovate rapidly increasing in size, two and a fraction whorls with five larger in flated ovate chambers in last formed one; sutures deeply depressed, radiate; ventral side depressed centrally aperture umbilical with beginning of extraumbilical structure of last formed chamber.
Size: Holotype (fig. 9).625 x.645 x.05mm.

Globigerina eggeri Rhumbler, 1901, and Globigerina conglomerata Schwager, 1866, are closely related. G. eggeri presents more chambers, 6 in last formed whorl, more globose with a more symmetrical umbilical aperture. G. conglomerata Egger, Tertiary India presents fewer chambers only four in last formed whorl and a different umbilical structure. The present species is between the two in number of chambers and in the size and structure of aperture. According to Dr. Cushman, in 1948 all at the following stations was to be labelled G. conglomerata Schwager. Brady’s material used by Rhumbler has a locality, north of San Fernandez, 1375 fms. However, as results of more comprehensive studies the more difficult it is to accept earlier identifications.
