Original Description Test free, calcareous, minute, lenticular, compressed, biconcave, trochospiral, periphery broadly rounded, strongly lobulate; wall prominently cancellated hispid, coarsely perforate in part, transparental most smooth, finely perforate in part; dorsal side evolute only slightly depressed centrally about three whorls of subglobose in flated chambers gradually increasing in size with the outer half of each chamber of outer whorl of seven cham bers dorsally the thicker more hispid portion; all sutures dorsally depressed radiate between chambers spiral suture lobulate; ventral side in volute, about uniform in texture, less transparent, the sutures radial and depressed; umbilicus closed with all seven chambers tapering off converging centrally; aperture interpreted to be along base of last formed chamber interiomarginal extraumbilical umbilical extending to periphery. Extra details from original publication Fig. 9, a paratype has been illustrated to show the tendency of a limited number of specimens to produce a more elongate last formed chamber which ventrally tends to en velop the umbilical area. The greater number of specimens found show the ventral structure of the holotype. This extension of last formed chamber suggests genus Globigerinita Bronnimann, 1951, but supple mentary secondary apertures have not been observed.
