Original Description Test free, calcareous, subcircular in contour, com pressed, trochospiral, with a low spiral, periphery lobulate broadly rounded; wall comparatively smooth, finely punctate, opaque; about two whorls of subglobose chambers rap idly increasing in size, some what irregular as to plane and position in whorl, four to six chambers in each whorl, aperture umbilical in part, continuing along margin of last formed chamber ending on dorsal side at spiral suture, opening prominent in edge view. Size: Holotype (fig. 3) 0.29 x 0.25 x 0.20mm. Extra details from original publication Globigerina dutertrei d’Orbigny, 1839, Globigerina conglomerata Schwager, 1866, and Globigerina eggeri Rhumbler, 1901, have been considered. G. dutertrei is a lenticular form presenting a different umbilical structure. Globigerina helicina d’Orbigny, 1826, as described and illustrated by Banner and Blow (1960, p.13, pl.2, fig.5) has been considered also. The present forms differ from G. helicina in the apertural structure which is visible on the dorsal or spiral side. There are less chambers and the present form is comparatively small.
