Original Description Test small for the genus, composed for the most part of 3 last-formed chambers, the last one comprising about half the test, earlier chambers visible in a small, low spire; chambers globular, increasing very rapidly in size as added; sutures deeply depressed; wall thin, finely cancellated; aperture single, ventral a high, arched, slightly rimmed opening projecting into the last chamber. Size: Length 0.35-0.42 mm.; thickness 0.25-0.30 mm Etymology: Extra details from original publication This species differs from Globigerina bulloides d'Orbigny in having 3 chambers comprising the last whorl, in its cancellated instead of spinose wall, and its high arched aperture which may be even elongated in some specimens.
This species is common to abundant throughout the Agua Fresca formation, more abundant in the upper than in the lower part of well P-7. Editors' Notes
