On the ventral side there are five subspherical chambers surrounding a deep umbilicus. Septal sutures narrow, straight, deeply depressed in the two last whorls. Aperture large, semilunate, gaping on the umbilical side of the last chamber. Wall calcareous, the surface of all chambers (including the last) alveolar, expressed as dense and deep pores.
