Original Description

"Shell small, end view subquadrate, side view roundly triangular to subovate. Dorsally flatly convex, showing all whorls (about 2), sutures conspicuous. Ventrally only last coil seen, sutures deep and channelled. Chambers at first 3 per whorl, later 4 chambers, fourth always half or more obscured in ventral view, 3 chambers making up a bulk of a coil; chambers a little askew and descending, pointed below, terminal face flatly sinuous and making sharp angle with other faces, overhanging umbilicus and leaving only a narrow opening; aperture narrow and curved, often with a rim, projecting flange only ocasionally developed; whole surface covered with fine strong spines, a few on ventral points of chambers much stronger- this ornament is relatively much stronger than in dehiscens or subdehiscens. Size, 0.3 mm.
