Original Description Variety differing from the typical in the larger number of chambers, more distinctly umbilical depression on the ventral side and the very heavy development of the peripheral keel. Size: Etymology: Extra details from original publication These varietal characters are constant in the specimens, and seem to apply to other Late Tertiary material, both of the West Indian region and of some parts of the Pacific.
