Original Description
The last chamber constitutes about half of the test. Only three chambers are usually visible from the ventral side. The first chamber of the last whorl is usually much smaller than the others which follow, and this has affected the general shape of the test and the arrangement of the chambers so that the suture between the second and third chambers in the last whorl is in the middle of the sides of the test. Sutures much curved. Periphery sharp as in the typical form and sometimes double keeled as shown in figure 18.

Size: Length, 0.30 mm.; breadth, 0.25 mm.; thickness, 0.15 mm.

Extra details from original publication
This variety is related to the typical form in the same manner as Globorotalia crassata var. aequa is related to Globorotalia colligera. It probably is the ancestor of Globorotalia crassata var. aequa which is very similar and appears in higher stratigraphic zones. The Globotruncana variety is distinguished by the double keel, the dorsally beaded suture the wide umbilicus, and the shape and position of the ventral aperture.
Rather frequent in the Chalk at Gebel Duwi.
