Original Description Test free, early chambers slightly trochoid, adult planispiral, early portion involute, final whorl somewhat evolute but not uncoiling, biumbilicate, strongly symmetrical, periphery rounded, peripheral margin lobulate, outline oval to subcircular; chambers subspherical to ovate, inflated, particularly in the final chamber, 5-6 (occasionally 7) in the final whorl, 15-16 visible 2½ whorls extending into the narrowing umbilicus; sutures deeply depressed, radially curved on both sides of the test; wall calcareous, densely perforated by distinct small pores, surface otherwise smooth ad nglossy; aperture interiomarginal, a long low equatorial arch extending along the base of the septal margin of the final chamber and becoming quite high in peripheral view; thickened apertural lip usually present, occasionally with a sharp rim.
