Original Description
This family consists of those genera of the Favuselloidea that do not possess a favose surface structure and have a compact test and a very narrow aperture. The aperture is intraumbilical, basal, low- to high-arcuate, and sometimes rimmed by a narrow lip. They only occur in the Late Triassic (Rhaetian) [BouDagher-Fadel 2012, p. 40]
