Type locality: On east bank of cricket ground southwest of Golconda Estate house which is about one-sixth mile south of Golconda Village, south Trinidad (Bolli, 1957a, p. 101); sample Bo I85A.
Type age (chronostrat): Middle Miocene, Gr. fohsi fohsi Zone.

Original Description
Test very low trochospiral, with a flat to concave spiral side; chambers ovoid, 5 in final whorl, increasing rapidly as added; umbilicus open, medium in size; wall microperforate and pustulate; aperture extraumbilical.

Remarks - This species can easily be distinguished from related forms by its subpentagonal test, quickly enlarging ovate chambers and well-defined umbilicus. It seems to have derived from T. minutissima in the middle Miocene.
