Original Description

"Test free, low trochospiral, equatorial periphery strongly lobulate, axial periphery rounded. Chambers inflated, subspherical four to five in final whorl; initial chambers increase rapidly in size, final chambers increase gradually. Sprial and umbilical sutures radial to slightly curved, depressed, distinct. Chamber surface coarsely hispid. Wall calcareous, perforate. Umbilicus shallow, wide. Primary aperture extraumbilical-umbilical covered by large flap in well preserved specimens. "Whiteinella archaeocretacea Pessagno may be distinguished from the new species by (1) the larger umbilical cavity and (2) by sausagelike chambers which are compressed in the equatorial plane. Also, the Texas form attains a larger size; specimens range up to 0.70 mm in diameter."R
