Original description: [Translation from the Russian.]--Test strongly convex, outline stepped in peripheral view, weakly lobate. Dorsally first and second whorls trochoid, last whorl flattened and strongly offset toward the ventral side; chambers of first whorl spherical, very small, lacking septal flanges, smooth; chambers of second whorl semicircular, flattened, separated by arcuate septal sutures with tuberculate, more rarely spinose, narrow flanges; chambers of last whorl 6-7 in number, arcuate, flat, strongly offset opposite to direction of coiling: last chamber often smaller than two preceding ones: septal sutures arcuate with broad tuberculate or more finely spinose flanges, smoothly turning into likewise tuberculate and broad dorsal keels; toward the end of the whorl the sutures and keels become less tuberculate. but do not change in width. On the ventral side the chambers are convex, with flat vertices, and are strongly inclined toward the umbilicus; they lie close together, with nearly no size increase toward the end of the whorl; septal sutures depressed, weakly curved, partially covered by flanges obtained by the fusing of the umbilical flanges and ventral keel of each chamber; round, weakly extended ovals of these thicker parts from a regular rosette on all the chambers of the ventral side. Peripheral margin broad with two keels; ventral keel complete, dorsal one discontinuous; ventrally it is well visible that the dorsal keel overhangs the peripheral margin like a cornice and is parallel to the ventral keel; gap between keels broad, concave; it becomes broader with every chamber as coiling proceeds.
