Original description: dont on peut se demander si c'est une G. stuarti à test biconvexe ou plus vraisemblablement une G. rosetta différenciée par la forme, la taille et le nombre des loges.

Translated from French: One may wonder whether this species is a Globotruncana stuarti (de Lapparent) [Rosalina stuarti, 1918] with a biconvex test or more likely a Globotruncana rosetta (Carsey) [Globigerina rosetta, 1926] but differing by its shape, its size and the number of chambers.

Entries in the Catalog of original descriptions: Globotruncana falsostuarti

Emended description:

by Dupeuble, 1969. Translated from French: Biconvex form, single keeled, the spiral side being slightly convex. Seven to eight chambers in the last whorl. Petaloid-shaped chambers as in Globotruncana arca. Lobate periphery. Umbilical side displaying a broad and fairly deep umbilicus. The sutural ridge of the chambers does not quite reach the keel. On the first chambers of the umbilical side, one may find a remnant of a second keel in the shape of a backward-oriented and parallel to the periphery bend of the sutural ridge.
