Original description: Test wall microperforate, pore diameter ranging 0.4 to 0.8 microns, surface smooth or with very fine pustules. Test very small, coiled in a low to rarely moderate trochospire, equatorial periphery moderately to strongly lobate, unequally biconvex, test thickness:diameter ratio averaging 0.61; chambers inflated, dextrally or sinistrally coiled in 1.5 to 2 whorls of 6 to 8 chambers that increase rapidly in size with 3 to 4 chambers in the final whorl, ultimate:penultimate ratio averaging 1.1, final chamber slightly reniform; sutures depressed, radial, straight; umbilicus shallow, narrow; aperture an extra-umbilical low arch that extends from near the peripheral margin nearly to the umbilicus, bordered by a narrow lip.
