Original description: Typical for this species is the flattening of the test in a direction opposite to most forms of this genus, so that the broad side shows one, and the narrow side two series of chambers. The great change in the ratio of length, breadth and width is remarkable and can be.seen on PI. Il, fig.1-9. The figured specimens are from different localities.
