Original description: The test is of intermediate size. The chambers are arranged in a low trochoidal spire of about 2 whorls. The spiral side is slightly depressed. The las volution comprises 6-7 chambers which do not, or only very slowly, increase in size. The chambers are truncate on the apertural side and rounded peripherally. The subcircular umbilicus is large and deep, and covered with a frail plate, usually preserved only in fragments along the apertural edges. The large, arcuate apertures open into the umbilicus and seem to be provided with minute lip-like borders. The surface shows strong rugosities which in the last volution are arranged in the meridional pattern.
