• Within taxon - this limits search to a taxon and its sub-taxa - e.g. "Heterohelicidae" will limit search to heterohelicids. You can use part of name only e.g. "helicid".
• Citation includes - search for any part of the formal citation of a taxon, e.g. author name or publication date.
• Age window - limit search to a stratigraphic interval.
• In the text boxes you can use * or % as wildcards to match multiple characters and ? or _ to match single characters
• To explore the meaning of the character states it is best to select options from only one box.
• It would be possible to give results in different formats if users would like this. Suggestions welcome!
• It may be necessary to limit the number of images generated if the routine makes heavy demands on the server.
• The form does sometimes behave a bit erratically - if this happens try using the "Reset form" option.
