Original Description

3b. Tribus: Amphistylidae. Triosphaeria dissacantha (aculeis duobus oppositis, in uno axi sitis).
B. aculeis ambobus diversis.

Translation:
3b. Tribe: Amphistylida. Triosphaeria with two spines (the two spines opposite, situated in one axis).
B. With the two spines different. (Translated from Latin by E.M.R. and W.R.R.)]

Etymology:
From the Greek ampho = both, and stylos = stiletto.
