Original Description

Gerüst aus einem großen Doppelspiculum(ähnlich denen von Sphaerozoum) gebildet. Mittelbalken derselben sehr kurz, so daß die 8(?)-10 Stacheln dicentrisch entspringen (Unterschied von Cytocladus). An den Enden des Mittelbalkens also 4-5 Stacheln; letztere in 2 Kegeln zu je vier bis fünf um die stachellosen Pole gruppiert. Stacheln (und wahrscheinlich auch Weichkörper unverzweigt, auch nicht gebuchtet, (Unterschied von Cytocladus und Thalassothamnus). Nebenspiculi können vorhanden sein.
