Original Description

Guscio grande, di ferma ovoide ed alquanto scabroso. Capo sferico, munito di un corno breve e diritto. La bocca è circondata da piccoli aculei, disposti a guisa di corona. I pori rotondi e fitti sono disposti irregolarmente.
[Shell large, egg-shaped and rather rough. Cephalis spherical, with a short and straight horn. Aperture surrounded by small teeth distributed as a crown. Pores circular, closely and irregularly distributed. (In Italian. Translated by J.P.C.)]

Height 168µm. Width 115µm.

Etymology:
Latin aculeatus -a -um = spiny

Distinguishing characters: Differisce dall'Eucyrtidium globicephalum Vin. giacchè in quest'ultimo la terza e più piccola ed un poco più rigonfia, i pori sono meno numerosi e la bocca manca degli aculei sopra ricordati.
[Differs from Eucyrtidium globicephalum Vinassa that has a third segment smaller and a little more inflated, its pores being less numerous and the aperture without teeth.]
