Original Description

[Spindle shaped shell convex, somewhat rough, with 7 segments. The half-cupola shaped upper segment carries a straight short lateral spine. Second segment cupola-shaped, the next segments barrel-shaped, the latest at the end as an inverted cone, separated from the 6 others by a pronounced constriction, ending as a head of pencil with regular sharp teeth. Third segment is the widest, as broad as half the length of the shell. Basal opening as wide as 1/6 of the maximum width. Small uniform pores on the upper segments as large as 1/23 of the maximum width, with slightly wider bars, distributed in more or less regular alternating diagonal rows. On the lower segments some pores can be as large as the 1/12 of the width. (In German. Translated by J.P.C.)]

Length of the shell (spine excluded) 220µm. Maximum width on fourth segment 117µm. Lengths of the different segments: 13, 27, 40, 40, 17, 30, 53µm. Basal opening: 33µm, teeth: 10µm, apical horn: 10µm, pores: 4-5µm.]
Very rare.
