Original Description

[6-segmented, with long campanulate cephalis, very long thick frontal spine, and few large pores quincuncially arranged. Second segment broader than long, with 2 transverse rows of large pores. Third and fourth segments narrower, each distinguished by one transverse row of pores. Fifth and sixth segments equally narrow, broken. Pores eye-like, in transverse rows four visible at one time. Surface spiny. Length without spine 185 µ, of the spine 108 µ, of the cephalis 68 µ. (Translated from Latin by E.M.R. and W.R.R.)]
