Translation:
[Shell oblong with 6 porous segments; cephalis with a rounded apex, distinguished by three very large pores; the remaining segments perforated by broad transverse rows of smaller pores, 5-6 pores in 23m. Length 135m. Forms of this genus have hitherto been known only as fossils. Now it has been found that some are living at present at the South Pole. (Translated from Latin by E.M.R. and W.R.R.)]"

Editors' Notes
Locality: Data is derived from heading of list on p.191. This list mentions \Lithocampe n. sp." but not L. antarctica. As this is the only species of Lithocampe mentioned in the lists giving level and locality data, and as L. antarctica is the only species of Lithocampe described here it is assumed that this data refers to L. antarctica."[comment from RadWorld database]
