Original Description

[Rough shell divided by 7 strictures into 8 segments, of same width except for the cephalis; ratio of breadth to length as 5/16. First segment globular, second bell-shaped, third and seventh barrel-shaped, last segment somewhat askew and with a broken end. Regular circular pores distributed in oblique alternating rows, as large on the 7th segment as 1/25 of the shell breadth, with bars approximately twice as large. On the last segment pores are irregular with a width varying from normal to two times as large. (In German. Translated by J.P.C.)]

Shell length 270µm, maximum width, 83µm; Lengths of the segments from the top down: 17, 33, 33, 27, 17, 17, 4, 83µm. Pores 3-4µm, on the last segment till 6µm.
