Original Description

1c. Tribus: Staurostylida. Monosphaeriia tetracantha (aculeis quatuor ad formam crucis rectangularis dispositis).
A. omnes 4 aculei eadem magnitud.

Translation:
1c. Tribe: Staurostylida. Monosphaeria with four spines (with the four spines arranged in a rectangular cross).
A. With all 4 spines of the same size. (Translated from Latin by E.M.R. and W.R.R.)]

Etymology:
Greek staurosphaera = cross-sphere"
