Distinguishing characters: The photographed specimen was strongly tipped, and hence its proportions are not clearly indicated.
Tripocyrtis curtidiscus n. sp. differs from T. plectaniscus Haeckel (1887) and T. plagoniscus Haeckel (1887) in the character of the horn which is not branched and ornate and also in lesser development of the latticed skirt. The horn is not arborescent and not branching as in T. tripodiscus Haeckel (1887). All of these three species are from the Central Pacific.
