Original description: Thorax with six divergent ribs or radial beams (three primary or perradial, alternating with three secondary, or interradial).
Remarks on original description: Although described as a sub-genus by Haeckel, Arachnocorallium has been used as a genus in the description of the species listed here. Difference between this subgenus and Arachnocoronium is the latter has 3 primary and 6 secondary divergent ribs, according to Haeckel 1887 p. 1266.-dbl
