Original description: Shell ovate or pyriform with irregularly arranged pores of different size. Pores circular, elliptical or roundish. Basal plate pores four, two larger ones at each side of posterior foot; the other two smaller, between the left and right foot. Apical horn arising from where the basal plate and posterior foot unite and extending upward along the cephalic wall, up to the top of the cephalis then becoming free toward the outside. Frontal horn arising between two small basal plate pores, their manner of growth resembling that of the apical horn. The frontal and apical horns are situated opposite to each other, in. lateral view, (fig. 4 8a-d) appearing as double ribs. Three feet of different length and size; in some individuals (fig. 48a—c) slightly longer, with lesser number of branches; in other individuals, shorter (possibly broken) with greater mimber of branches which connect with each other forming a network (fig. 48d—f). This new species is similar to Peridium piriforme (Popofsky, 1908, p, 273, pi. 31, fig. 9) but the latter has only one apical horn and is without frontal horn.
