Original description: Corpuscula disciformia, media parte nucleata, margine lato vage aut concentrice celluloso. (Mixta). Cellula media ampla nucleata, marginales tenues in seriebus concentricis aut spongiosae ordine nullo.

Tho some species now in Lithocyclia etc name still in use for some forms. See e.g. Nigrini and Caulet 1992 -dbl
