Catalog entries: Haliomma macrodoras

Original description: Cortical shell thin walled, twice as broad as the medullary shell, with irregular, polygonal meshes, three to six times as broad as the bars. Inner shell with regular, hexagonal meshes, ten times as broad as the bars. Twenty radial spines, very long, stout, three-sided prismatic, two to four times as long as the diameter of the shell, as broad as one medullary mesh, with three wing-like, denticulated edges. At the base of each spine three supporting curved beams.

Diameter of the outer shell 140 to 160µm, of the inner 70 to 80µm; outer pores 10 to 20µm, bars 3µm; inner pores 10µm, bars 1µm; length of the spines 300-60µm, breadth 10µm.
Remarks on original description: Haeckel listed Haliomma macrodoras under the subgeneric name Haliommura, but did not include the subgeneric name in the species name.

Figure description: Haeckel includes fig. 6a on pl.28 but does not mention it in the figure description.
