Original description: Podocyrtiden mit basal offener Schale und drei Radialapophysen, welche teilweise in der Thoraxwand als Rippen verlaufen und sich in ihrem letzten freien Teil als gegitterte Thoraxflügel über den Thorax erheben. Die proximalen Enden der Radiälapophysen treten mit dem Kopfhorn zu einem inneren Stachelgerüst zusammen.
