Original description: [Smooth, cephalis ovate-globose, the posterior part extended as a short second segment; with the frontal periphery ornamented with a crown of simple (or occasionally branched and reticulate) spines; the whole surface irregularly porous. Second segment narrower above and broader below than the first one, with a broad aperture occasionally ornamented with sparse spines, or entire. Pores equal in size, occasionally larger on the cephalis; branches of the cephalic spines rectangular or occasionally confluent. Length without spines 8O µ. Maximum width 47 µ. Length of spine 31 µ, cephalis 47 µ. Approximately 3 separate pores in 23 µ. An elegant species. (Translated from Latin by E.M.R. and W.R.R.)]
