Original description: Shell of three or more segments. Cephalis subspherical or hemispherical, bearing a stout bladed apical horn sometimes very long, the surface penetrated by small, circular pores. Collar stricture with four collar pores internally, well defined externally. Cephalic structure has A, V, MB, two L and D; V connected to septal ring, two l form parts of septal ring. Thorax irregularly lozenge-shaped, the pores on the surface regular in size and arrangement. Three lateral wings, latticed except for the distal end extend horizontally from the widest part of the thorax. The shell below the wings narrows suddenly.
Remarks on original description: The following species seems to be similar to the type species.
