Polycystines with a spherical, lattice-wall or spongy cortical shell connected to an
equatorial ring or set of rings by two polar spines, and extending internally as beams to a small
mesh-like medullary shell. The ring(s) may be circular or elliptical, smooth or bladed, and bear
radially arranged co-planar flattened spines.
