Original description: Artostrobiid having four segments, ovate to spindle-shaped; mouth constricted, no terminal feet; vertical tube flared (duck-billed *) ; apical horn present.
*In ""duck-billed"" vertical tube opening is, in fact, circular and the ""duck-bill"" effect is produced by additional skeletal material on the outer edge of the tube.
