Translated description: Of the class Polycystina. Disc subcircular, porous, spongy, siliceous, without a regular margin. It has the appearance of a fragment, but is a frequent form. It is necessary to bear in mind that members of this genus can closely resemble (and must be distinguished from) the brokenoff apices of the radii of Rhopalastrum lagenosum, which can occur frequently and have a constant form. (Translated from Latin by E.M.R. and W.R.R.)]
