Original description: Schale im ganzen langgestreckt glockenförmig mit einer angesetzten Krempe. Schale weit geöffnet. Die Stacheln strahlen von dem Nacken (Collarstrictur) aus.
Kopf halbkuglig, regelmäßig, auf dem Gipfel mit einem langen Horn (Dorsalstachel) versehen, welches länger als die ganze Schale und wahrscheinlich wie die Mehrzahl der übrigen Stacheln dreikantig ist. Es ist zierlich, schlank, etwas gebogen und fein zugespitzt. Mit einer flachen Einschnürung ist vom Kopf der zylindrische oben und unten etwas verengte Thorax abgesetzt. Im Nacken erheben sich frei nach außen strahlend vier dreikantige Stacheln, deren Länge verschieden ist und die Länge des Thorax erreichen kann. Thorax sowohl wie der Kopf sind mit unregelmäßig polygonalen, meist sechseckigen Poren versehen, die in Ringen aufeinanderfolgen. Vom Thorax ist deutlich fast senkrecht abgesetzt das kurze Abdomen, welches wie eine Hutkrempe von dem übrigen glockenförmigen Schalenteil absteht. Nur zwei Porenreihen mit ähnlichen Poren wie im Thorax machen das Abdomen aus, welches am unteren Rand weit geöffnet ist und wahrscheinlich auch so bleibt, da das Individuum den Eindruck erweckt, als wenn es nut der Skelettbildung abgeschlossen hat.



Translated description: Shell elongated, bell-shaped as a whole with an attached brim. Shell wide open. The spines radiate from the neck (collar stricture). Cephalis hemispherical, regular, with a long horn (dorsal spine) on the summit, which is longer than the entire shell and probably triangular like the majority of the other spines. It is delicate, slim, slightly curved and finely pointed. The cylindrical thorax, which is somewhat narrowed at the top and bottom, is separated from the cephalis by a flat constriction. In the neck, four triangular spines rise freely outwards, the length of which varies and can reach the length of the thorax. The thorax and the cephalis are provided with irregularly polygonal, usually hexagonal pores that follow one another in rings. The short abdomen, which stands out like a hat brim from the rest of the bell-shaped shell segment, is clearly separated from the thorax, almost vertically. Only two rows of pores with similar pores to those in the thorax make up the abdomen, which is wide open at the lower edge and will probably remain that way, as the individual gives the impression that it has only completed skeletal formation.

Petrushevskaya 1975 - Corocalyptra kruegeri

Conical shell outline. Cephalis as described by Foreman for Ectonocorys (Figure 10, VIII). Pores in transverse rows. Early Miocene Form E were multi-segmented (Eucyrtidioidea gen. sp. Petrushevskaya and Kozlova). Late Miocene-Pliocene forms are three-segmented. In various forms of the species group, the number of the pores in a row is different. Several species or subspecies are to be described.
