Catalog entries: Trisolenia
Original description: Polycystinum solitarium? ex Halicatyptrinis? Lorica triangula porosa aut foveolata, angulis tubulosis perforatis prominentibus.
Grevilleae et Coryli avellanae pollen ad hanc formam accedit, sed similitudo formae parvi rnomenti est, cum nec Coryli nec Grevilleae in abyssis floreant et illorum corpusculorum magna copia ex iis producta sit.
Translated description: Solitary ? polycystins of the Halicalyptrinae. Shell triangular, porous or pitted, with prominent, perforated tubular angles.
The pollen of Grevilleae and Coryli avellanae resembles this form, but similarity of shape is of little importance, since neither Coryli nor Grevilleae flower in the depths of the ocean, and a great quantity of Trisolenia is found in deep-sea sediments. (Translated from Latin by E.M.R. and W.R.R.)]
