Taxonomy

Citation: Cenozoic radiolaria
Taxonomic discussion: The taxon list used here is derived from the Neptune database, in order to allow exploration of occurrence information. Taxa are then placed in the standard families, based ultimately on Riedel (1971). This classification is under active review (e.g. Suzuki & Aita 2011). The large number of problematic genre reflects the need for further critical review of the taxonomy as reported in the DSDP and ODP publications from which the Neptune database is derived.
