Original description: [A median, concentric porous disc giving rise to four arms. Arms connected by a basal membrane which is transparent and more loosely porous. At the apex they are broader and truncate, and armed with a strong spine. The center of the disc is obscure and small. Diameter without spines 375 µ, of the perfect ringed disc 70 µ. Length of radii from the center 185 µ, of the spines 80 µ. Breadth of the terminal radius 51 µ. The segments are 16-17 transverse, interruptedly concentric rows of cells. Smaller length of the arms, from the center, in the other specimen, 108 µ. (Translated from Latin by E.M.R. and W.R.R.)]
