Original description: Freischwimmende, kugelförmige, schleimig-gallertartige Massen, die im Innern aus Kugeln zusammengesetzt sind, welche, wiederum aus Blächen bestehen. Diese Gattung ist gleichsam ein kugelförmiges Aggregat von Individuen unsrer Physematien. Im Innern der Gallerte, welche die einzelnen Kugeln umschliesst, findet eine Ablagerung von Krystallen statt, die wahrscheinlich aus reiner Kiesel-Erde bestehen. Die Bewegung geschieht durch Contraktion der Oberfläche.
