Original Description

Vier durch 8 Radialstäbe verbundene Gitterkugeln, deren Durchmesser sich verhalten wie 1: 3: 6: 9. Die Rindenschale zackig, ihre Gitterlöcher sind zweierlei Art, grosse rundliche von 1/6 des Durchmessers der Rindenschale, und kleinere viereckige bis herab zu 1/30, die auch rundlich werden.
[Four roundish spheres linked by 8 radial beams with diameters as 1: 3: 6: 9. Cortical shell indented with two kinds of pores, big circular pores 1/6 as large as the cortical shell diameter, and smaller quadrangular to roundish pores down to 1/30. (Translation from German by J.P.C.)]

Cortical shell diameter 100µm, internal shells 66, 33, 11µm. Pores 16 to 3.3µm.
Rare.
