Original Description
Lorica ovata ampla late porosa (poris in 1/100"' 2ó3.) subtriloba, utrinque rotundata nec truncata, denticulis undique hispida, apertura obsoleta.
Longit. 1/22"'.
Habitus Lithocampae, sed nulli articuli. Structuram internam spiralem esse suspicor. Quae pars anterior quae posterior jure habeatur in toto genere non liquet.
[Shell ovate, subtrilobate, broad, with large pores (2-3 pores in 23m), at each end rounded and not truncate, thorny overall, with a closed aperture. Length 100m. Resembles Lithocampe, but without segments. I suspect that the internal structure is spiral. It is not evident which part of the total form is anterior and which posterior. (Translated from Latin by E.M.R. and W.R.R.)]
Etymology: Latin denticulatus -a -um = with small teeth
