Original Description

[Smooth; cephalis globose, broad, spinose, with sparse frontal spines (5) subequal and sometimes branched) and with no horn. Anterior pores small and sparse, the posterior ones large, stricture distinct. Second segment broadening suddenly, the posterior much broader than the cephalis, the pores unequal, small, distinct, often large. Length without spines 140 µ, of the longest spines 23 µ, of cephalis 47 µ. Maximum breadth of second segment 98 µ. (Translated from Latin by E.M.R. and W.R.R.)]
